Dane Falkner, Founder & CEO

Surgeworks is the brain-child of Dane Falkner, a software architect with over 25 years of experience. Throughout his career, Dane has worked on a variety of projects for companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 firms. He is an experienced trainer in the DSDM methodology of agile software development, and an active member of the agile development community. Dane joined up with Jim Highsmith and Alistair Cockburn in 2001 to help organize the first summit of what would later come to be called the Agile Alliance at Snowbird, Utah. Preferring to increase the diversity of the Agile Manifesto signatories, Dane sponsored Arie van Bennekum to travel to the summit from The Netherlands and sign in his place. Surgeworks helped to plan, form and fund the Agile Alliance organization. “The same principles we articulated in the Agile Manifesto are the ones I have striven to adopt at Surgeworks; we work hard to deliver value to our customers and adapt to their changing needs. We also strive to constantly hone our skills and hire the best and brightest in the industry.”
